Terms of use
Last updated 6 November 2026
These terms apply when you use Paikan (ไปกัน). By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy at paikan.app/privacy explains how we handle your data.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use Paikan. Keep your sign-in methods secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Sharing locations responsibly
- Only invite people who want to share locations with you, and never use Paikan to track someone without their knowledge and agreement.
- Each member decides when and how they share. Don’t pressure anyone to share.
- Locations can be late, approximate or wrong (for example with a weak GPS signal or no connection). Don’t rely on Paikan for emergencies or safety-critical decisions. In an emergency, call the local emergency number.
- Don’t use the app in a way that distracts you while driving.
What you post
You are responsible for the messages, photos and links you send. Don’t send anything illegal, hateful, harassing or that you don’t have the right to share. You keep your rights in your content, and give us permission to store it and show it to the members of the trip so the service works. Trip owners and admins can remove members.
Premium and trip passes
- Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly, billed by the App Store or Google Play. It renews automatically until you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- A trip pass is a one-off purchase that upgrades one trip, for everyone in it, for 14 days. It is not a subscription and can’t be moved to another trip once used.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- The free version shows ads.
Things you must not do
Don’t misuse the service: no reverse engineering, overloading or attacking it, getting around plan limits or the “share to see” rule, creating accounts automatically, or using it to break the law.
Our service
We work to keep Paikan running and safe, but it is provided “as is”, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and we will tell you in advance about changes that affect paid features. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by location data being late or inaccurate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Thai consumer law.
Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app first. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Questions: support@paikan.app.
